With over 30,000 members and supporters across the state, the ACLU-NC has a staff of more than 20 people with an office in Durham."

Activist Checklist

"We started Activist Checklist because we were seeing a lot of confusion and inaction around digital security practices in Palestine solidarity organizing. We began our research mid-2024 in anticipation that Trump might get elected again and that we'd see a rise in authoritarianism, state surveillance, and repression of social movements.

As activists ourselves, we understood the importance of protecting our digital lives, but we also saw how overwhelming it could be."

Amnesty International

"Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 10 million people who are committed to creating a future where human rights are enjoyed by everyone. United by our shared humanity, we know that the power to create positive change is within all of us.

The website and projects are free (as in freedom) and not affiliated with any donor or projects discussed."

Crimethinc.

"Crimethink is everything that evades control: the daydream in the classroom, the renegade breaking ranks, the spray-painted walls that continue to speak even under martial law. It is the persistent sense that things could be otherwise, that there is nothing natural or inevitable about the prevailing social order. In a world optimized for administration, everything that cannot be classified or displayed on a screen is crimethink. It is the spirit of rebellion without which freedom is literally unthinkable."
